Every life lost to suicide was one too many. Behind every statistic was a name, a face, and a story that ended too soon. The Step Forward to Prevent Suicide walk is more than a community event—it is a movement of compassion, awareness, and action. When we come together, we break the silence that keeps people suffering in the dark. This year’s Step Forward to Prevent Suicide Walk marks the 15th year and will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 9:00am at Fawick Park in Sioux Falls. We hope you’ll join us as we continue walking together toward awareness, healing, and hope.

DUSTIN LYNCH
Dustin Lynch has “built one of the most consistent recording careers in modern country music” (Billboard), achieving 10 #1s; four Top 5 albums; MULTI-PLATINUM status with 10 RIAA-certified singles; and tallying over 6 BILLION cumulative global streams. Rolling out new music beginning with the chill summer jam “Easy To Love,” Dustin marked his milestone 10th #1 with “Chevrolet (feat. Jelly Roll)” from his sixth studio album Killed The Cowboy (BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville). The follow-up to Blue In The Sky, which delivered the history-making 2X PLATINUM, six-week #1 “Thinking ‘Bout You (feat. MacKenzie Porter)” – the most-played song at Country radio in 2022 landing at #1 on the Mediabase and #2 on the Billboard Year-End Country Airplay charts – and also featured hit singles: #1 “Stars Like Confetti” and “Party Mode.” Co-headlining the TWO FOR THE ROAD TOUR with Scotty McCreery this fall, Lynch has headlined packed venues to sold-out crowds like his latest Killed The Cowboy Tour, in addition to touring with Country’s biggest names including Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton. Hosting his see-and-be-seen pool parties for the last decade, Lynch marks Wynn Nightlife’s first-ever country music artist residency in Las Vegas with his 2025 club set. Most recently, he expanded his sound with the Club Set Remixes EP – a genre-blending project featuring high-energy dance remixes of his biggest hits by top DJs including MOONLGHT and MC4D. Since his PLATINUM breakout “Cowboys and Angels” in 2012, the Tennessee native has earned industry recognition as a Grand Ole Opry member, as well as high-profile nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and CMT Music Awards.
Mitchell Tenpenny
Multi-platinum-selling artist Mitchell Tenpenny has seen his career explode over the last few years. Since the release of his debut #1 hit single “Drunk Me” the multi-faceted entertainer, singer, songwriter, producer and performer has surpassed the One Billion streams threshold, now at more than 2.6 Billion global streams and growing. His RIAA certifications continue to soar with recent recognitions for “Drunk Me” hitting 4-times Platinum and “We Got History” garnering Platinum status.
Mitchell’s additional #1 singles include “Truth About You” and “At The End Of A Bar” with Chris Young. With the latter (at the time of its chart peak), Mitchell made history with shortest span between #1 songs since 1982 with just a three-week stretch.
From the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to the Today Show and numerous other television appearances, Mitchell has performed his music to an ever-growing legion of fans. His success as a touring artist has grown from recent guest slots on the road with Jason Aldean, Luke Combs and Jordan Davis, to his own headline tours.

The June 6 concert, free to the public, will feature restored Holocaust instruments performed by professional and young musicians, with poetry, storytelling, and community conversation.
Mount Zion Congregation and Curious Music Collective will host Violins of Hope: Sioux Falls, a free community program featuring restored Holocaust string instruments, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Hamre Recital Hall inside Augustana University’s Fryxell Humanities Center. The Sioux Falls program is part of Violins of Hope, presented by the Minnesota JCC.
Centered on the theme “Never Forget Hope,” the evening will bring together professional and young musicians led by Dr. Yi-Chun Lin, original poetry by Lawrence Diggs and Xavier Pastrano, selected instrument stories, and a post-concert discussion with organizers, artists, and community leaders. The theme reflects the program’s invitation to remember the past while choosing hope, education, and community for the future. Donations will be accepted.
Violins of Hope is a collection of violins, violas, and cellos restored and connected to Jewish individuals before and during the Holocaust. Through concerts, exhibitions, and educational programs around the world, the instruments honor Holocaust memory while carrying forward messages of resilience, resistance, unity, and the transformative power of music.
