Only two sessions left in the 2025-26 Speaker Series. April features Alix Kyrie, Gallery Director for Rehfelds, and Mel Cotton, Owner of Rose and Eugene Presents.
We will be discussing an artist’s relationship with a gallery.
• How to approach a gallery
• What a gallery looks for in an artist and their work
• What to expect from a gallery
ABOUT ALIX:
With over 20 years of experience in downtown retail & gallery management experience, Alix Kyrie currently serves as gallery director of Rehfelds Modern. Along with her role at Rehfelds Modern, Alix strives to uplift the arts community through advocacy & volunteer work.
ABOUT MEL:
Before dedicating her efforts to Rose and Eugene Presents, Mel Cotton played a pivotal, nearly decade-long role in managing, marketing, and purchasing for a distinguished American craft gallery, collaborating with high-craft artisans from the United States, Canada, and Europe. With a background in studio arts and an emphasis in printmaking, Mel’s academic journey at SDSU laid the foundation for her passion for the arts. Beyond her professional pursuits, Mel enjoys relaxed moments at home, snuggling with her husband and furry companions, and cultivating a domestic jungle.

We all rely on our screens… but sometimes they take over. Linking the Gap invites you to our flexible 8-week counseling group for adults (18+) focused on building a healthier, more balanced relationship with technology. Each session is self-contained, so you’re welcome to attend one week, a few, or the full series—no long-term commitment required.
This week focuses on awareness. Together, we’ll explore how technology shapes our mood, focus, sleep, and relationships. You’ll map your daily tech habits with curiosity (not judgment) and begin noticing patterns that may be draining or supporting your well-being.
If you’re interested in attending, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Mason or Annika at Linking the Gap Counseling to register or learn more or register with the event link. This group is designed to be welcoming, flexible, and supportive for adults at any stage of their digital wellness journey.
