Standing Proud showcases the stories of South Dakota veterans that highlight the growth, struggles, victories, and insights about service and patriotism. In the individual stories, we learn about the universal history of women who have served our country. From each beginning, we follow their stories through basic training, into their first assignment, and how world events like the conflict in Vietnam, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and September 11th not only changed their duties but also how they see concepts like “freedom” and “service” – and ultimately, how those lessons changed their lives back in South Dakota, and how they made an impact on their family, friends, children, and communities.
This show will air on SDPB TV on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 8:30pm CT, 7:30pm MT, and we hope you will join us for this premiere event the week before it airs!

Join us for AMC Collective’s Crafty Book Club featuring Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.
Participants read the selected book during the month and gather for an evening of book discussion and crafting. Bring your own craft project and supplies to work on during the discussion. There is no assigned craft.
