Anyone can write and get your family history in print without a lot of strain. As we celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary this year, let’s preserve our memories in writing. Paula’s “Baker’s Dozen” shows ways to work on small ideas and shares tips to get family involved — you might be doing some of these already! These small steps to share and preserve family stories, joyous times and tough times, can enhance your understanding of yourself and your greater family.
Paula Stuart-Warren, a long-time and internationally recognized genealogical educator, researcher and consultant, will be speaking at the Sioux Valley Genealogical Society’s April meeting by Livestream.
Registration fee includes the April 2 event and 3 additional workshops on April 9, April 18 and April 23. These workshops will include Navigating FamilySearch, free access to Ancestry.com and learning how to use AI to transcribe handwriting. Our Cocktail Showdown Tour will pit cocktail against cocktail. A different drink every month!
We will start the tour with a light appetizer. From there, we will visit three bars to partake in their version of the featured cocktail. As a participant, you will rate each cocktail to determine that week’s winner. During the fourth week of the month, our tour will visit the top 3 cocktails from the month to determine the ULTIMATE winner! A certificate will be provided to the winning cocktail from Sioux Falls Food Tours.
