A Baker’s Dozen: Easy Ways to Begin Writing Your Family History

April 2 , 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$1 – $30

Anyone can write and get your family history in print without a lot of strain. As we celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary this year, let’s preserve our memories in writing. Paula’s “Baker’s Dozen” shows ways to work on small ideas and shares tips to get family involved — you might be doing some of these already! These small steps to share and preserve family stories, joyous times and tough times, can enhance your understanding of yourself and your greater family.

Paula Stuart-Warren, a long-time and internationally recognized genealogical educator, researcher and consultant, will be speaking at the Sioux Valley Genealogical Society’s April meeting by Livestream.

Registration fee includes the April 2 event and 3 additional workshops on April 9, April 18 and April 23. These workshops will include Navigating FamilySearch, free access to Ancestry.com and learning how to use AI to transcribe handwriting. To register and for more details, go to www.svgssd.org home page, scroll down to Special Event section.

Join us at 6:00 pm on April 2 for social time; desserts and beverages will be served.
