March 4, 2:15 pm - 3:00 pm

Overview: The Forklift Certification Training is a comprehensive educational course designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and certification necessary to safely and efficiently operate forklifts in various industrial settings. This training is essential for individuals seeking to become forklift operators, as well as for employers looking to ensure a safe and compliant workforce.

Upon Completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Comprehend Safety Regulations and Best Practices (Understanding): Participants will demonstrate an understanding of safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation, incorporating OSHA guidelines and ANSI standards into their knowledge base.

Identify Different Types of Forklifts (Identification): Students will identify various types of forklifts and their components, gaining the ability to recognize unique characteristics associated with each forklift type.

Conduct Forklift Inspections (Application): Participants will apply their knowledge by conducting forklift inspections, understanding the importance of routine maintenance, and performing pre-shift inspections to ensure optimal working conditions.

Operate Forklifts in Various Conditions (Application): In this stage, participants will apply their knowledge to learn to operate forklifts in diverse conditions, such as loading/unloading materials, stacking/de-stacking, and maneuvering safely in tight spaces.

Understand Load Capacity and Stability (Understanding): Students will demonstrate an understanding of load capacity, stability, and weight distribution principles relevant to forklift operation.

Discuss Protocols for Handling Emergencies (Analysis): The training will involve an analysis of protocols for handling common emergencies, requiring participants to discuss and understand procedures for equipment malfunctions, tip-overs, and ensuring the safe egress of operators during emergencies.

Identify and Mitigate Potential Hazards (Analysis): Participants will analyze workplaces to identify potential hazards, demonstrating their ability to ensure forklift operations are conducted safely through hazard recognition and mitigation.

Demonstrate Practical Hands-On Experience (Synthesis): The course emphasizes synthesis by providing participants with practical, hands-on experience with forklifts under the guidance of experienced instructors. This stage integrates theoretical knowledge into applied skills, fostering a deeper understanding of forklift operation.

Certification: Upon successful completion of the Forklift Certification Training, participants will receive a certification that demonstrates their competence in forklift operation and compliance with relevant safety standards. This certification is recognized by employers and is often a requirement for forklift operators.

Who Should Attend: This training program is suitable for various individuals, including:

Aspiring forklift operators
Warehouse personnel
Construction workers
Material handlers
Industrial facility employees
Safety officers
Supervisors

Prerequisites: No prior experience with forklifts is required. Participants should have a basic understanding of workplace safety, be physically capable of operating forklifts and meet any age requirements set by local regulations.

Class Format: The class is delivered in a traditional virtual classroom setting. The practical hands-on training will be scheduled after the completion of the classroom portion.*
