MEWPS Construction Certification

Course Description:

MEWPS Construction Certification class is designed for those working with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) in construction. This specialized training guides participants through cognitive levels to ensure a deep understanding and proficiency in operating three key pieces of equipment: Telehandler Forklift, Boom Lift, and Scissor Lift.

Recall fundamental safety principles and regulations related to MEWPs in construction.
Grasp the unique features and capabilities of each MEWP type.
Understand the key components of MEWP construction regulations and standards.
Apply proper pre-operation inspection procedures for Telehandlers, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts.
Implement safe operating practices for each type of MEWP in various construction scenarios.
Analyze potential hazards associated with MEWP operations in construction settings.
Evaluate the stability and load capacity considerations for Telehandlers, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts.

Delivery Method:

This certification program employs a blended learning approach, integrating theoretical lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and operational certification that will be scheduled separately at your facility.* Participants will engage in equipment-specific training modules, ensuring a thorough understanding and application of MEWP safety principles.

For the hands-on portion, facilities must either be located within the 5-state area: MN, ND, SD, IA, or WI or are a current OECS client.

Certification:

Successful completion of the MEWPS Construction Certification program includes certification for each type of equipment (Telehandler, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift), demonstrating the participant’s proficiency in safe and effective operation.
