Dakota State University History and Ethics Forum

Dr. Heather Wilson, President of the University of Texas at El Paso, is the guest speaker for the second annual Dakota State University History and Ethics Forum on Friday, October 21, at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend the event in the DSU Beacom Institute of Technology Collaboration Center. Dr. Wilson will speak on “Expanding the Cyber-Security Workforce.”
The purpose of the forum, created in 2021, is to look at the computing revolution in the context of history and ethics. An understanding of technology and our world is an important part of a college student’s education.
President Wilson is currently President of the University of Texas at El Paso; she has also been President of the South Dakota School of Mines, and Secretary of the Air Force. She is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and earned her master’s and doctoral degrees from Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar.
