Minnehaha County Historical Society Third Thursday Program featuring a book review & signing of "Gitchie Girl". Sole Survivor, Sandy Cheskey's inside story of the mass murders that shook the heartland and left 4 others dead. Authors Sandy & Phil Hammon profile the events that left Phil's friend Mark Hadrath, Roger Essem, Stewart & Dana Baade victims of the Fryer Bros, the manhunt and trials. It is uniquely a story of Cheskey's life struggles that emerged in the aftermath of the tragedy at Gitchie Manitou State Reserve in 1973.
